SEPTEMBER 1: Office of Undergraduate Admissions begins notification of admission status on a rolling basis.

OCTOBER 1: University begins awarding Academic Scholarships. To apply, simply check the appropriate
box on the Application for Undergraduate Admission. Note: The RVU INTL Full-Tuition Scholarship for freshmen, and the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship for transfers, require a separate application, available from
the Office of Undergraduate

Admissions.

JANUARY 1: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available. The FAFSA is available at your high school guidance office or college financial aid office, and online at fafsa.ed.gov

   Thank you for your interest in Rio Verde University-Utah Branch.  We are all excited about the wonderful things happening at our campus and we want you to be part of it!  This packet contains the information you have previously requested about our university as well as an application, and all the forms you need to begin the application process.

   Rio Verde University-Utah Branch is a place where students are taught to become independent, able to think and act as individuals, and able to make a difference in their world in the process.   At RVU-U, campus life and classroom learning are integrated with research opportunities, field work, intercollegiate sports programs, music and fine arts productions, internship programs, and international study/travel possibilities.  This unique fusion of education and life experience allows students to gain practical real world exposure that is second to none.

Steps in Applying for Admission

Admissions Applicant Checklist:

Application Form: Complete the “Application for Admission” either online, or on paper.  Be sure to also complete the essay questions, they are part of the application, and your file cannot be reviewed without them.  For students within the United States and US Territories, the application fee is $50.00.  For international students the application fee is $75.00.  This fee must be sent with your paper application, or you may pay using your credit card, paypal, western union transfer, or American express wire for your online application, if you prefer.

Educator or Employer recommendation Form: Please detach the form from this booklet and request that a teacher, guidance counselor, school administrator, or your employer who knows you well to complete and submit the “Educator/Employer Recommendation Form”.  Please keep in mind that forms completed by family members are not accepted.

Personal Recommendation Form:  Please detach the form from this booklet and request a friend to complete the “Personal Recommendation Form”.  Remember, forms completed by family members are not accepted.

Health Certificate/Immunization Record:  Please detach the form from this booklet and ask your family/personal physician to complete and turn to RVU-U the “Health Certificate.”  A copy of your immunization record must accompany the health certificate.  We require that MMR’s, Tetanus (within the last ten years), and Hepatitis B immunizations.

SAT/ACT scores:   SAT/ACT scores are required for U.S. applicants.  These scores are used as part of the acceptance criterion for academic placement.

High School Transcript:  Ask your high school to forward your official transcript to the Admissions Office.  Applicants who have completed the General Equivalency Diploma (GED) must forward a copy of their scores to the Admissions Office.

Transfer Students

College Transcripts:  Request that the colleges you attended send the Admissions Office your official transcript in order to be considered for transferring credit.

College Transfer Reference:  If you have previously attended another college, or university please ask that a representative of the Academic Dean fill our the “College Transfer Reference” form.  If you attended another theological college, seminary, or university, be sure to have them fill out the transfer clearance form.

International Students

TOEFL:  Please send the Official Score Sheet fro the TOEFL Exam (Test of English as a Foreign Language.)   A minimum score is required for admission.
